Gwendolyn Clayton Stout 71 passed away on September 23, 2025 in her home, surrounded by her family. Gwendolyn was a force with strong beliefs, and a loving heart for her family. She never missed an opportunity to have a family gathering, especially if it was at Albert Pike or Lake Ouachita – her two favorite places on earth.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her mother Sue Clayton and her husband of 40 years, Patrick Stout.
She is survived by her two sons and their spouses: Chris Ellerd (Nicole), and Brian Stout (Amy), her father Hunter Clayton (Helen), brother Mike Clayton (Naree), sister Sally Clayton and 9 grandchildren: Enoe Ellerd, Ariana Lambert, James Stout, Dani Stout, Aurora Lambert, Hailey Franklin, Andrea Stout, Reznor Emlinger and Sandler Emlinger, one great-grandson Ollie, and one niece and nephew.
Celebration of Life service will be announced later.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
