James B. "Jim" Vaughn

Mr. Vaughn was born June 14th, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a retired Director of Fabrication and Rubber Products at Red River Army Depot and a U.S. Air Force veteran where he served in the Strategic Air Force Command and American Legion Post 0025. He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and member of Knights of Columbus Council 1003, Texarkana, Texas.

James was a former assistant Boy Scout leader of Troop 86 and member of Order of the Arrow.

He was preceded in death by his adopted daughter Linnie Schoelman.

Survivors include Jackie Vaughn, his wife of 65 years, and two sons and daughters-in-law: James Matthew Vaughn and his wife Heather Lee Vaughn and Joseph Lee Vaughn and his wife Marla B Vaughn.

Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Dylan, Sebastian, Oliver and Baron and multiple nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Justin Braun officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
