

He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal for Central European Service in Normandy, Ardenne, Rhineland, Northern France June 1944 to May 1945, Good Conduct Medal and Distinguished Unit Citation.
He was a postal inspector and retired from the US Postal Service.
He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Morris Homan in 1995. He is survived by his sister Lois Lang of San Diego, CA and her niece Patricia Reese and great niece Cheryl Thomas.
He had some very wonderful friends and neighbors in his years in Texarkana and we would like to thank Marge and Al Wilhelm who did so much for him by driving and making sure he had groceries etc.
his neighbors Tina (who remembered selling him Girl Scout Cookies) and her husband James Gooch, Church friends Anna Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cogbill and Linda and Stacy Cogbill, Mr.and Mrs. Charles Morgan.
Although a quiet man he was very proud of belonging to the First Presbyterian Church and was a faithful attendee as long as he was able.
Graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 am. Revs. John and Susan Arnold, First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
