

Lorayne was born August 14, 1924 in Bossier City, Louisiana daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Bell Works. Proud daughter of an oil-field roughneck she moved with the family around north Louisiana from drill site to drill site before graduating from Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA. In 1942 she met and married the love of her life Wade Saint of Texarkana. They were happily married almost 55 years until his passing on May 22, 1996.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lorayne was preceded in death by her grandson Wade Blagg; brothers, Thomas and Jerry Works; and sisters Helen Gross, Ruby Morgason, Thelma Coker, Shirley Cannon and Dorothy Hodge.
Survivors include her daughter Sherry Philyaw and husband John Philyaw of Texarkana; son Michael Saint and wife Kris Saint of Little Rock; granddaughters Lauren Saint of Dallas TX, Michele Granberry and husband Doug Granberry of Fouke, AR; sisters, Louise Bomberger and June Freeman of Texarkana and Ann Morgan of Horseshoe Bend, ID; and great granddaughters, Madison Crow and Raegan Granberry.
Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2013 at East Funeral Home - 2807 Moores Lane,Texarkana, TX with Rev. Kenny Polk officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
