Lula Morton

Mrs. Morton was born June 5, 1924 . She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Mound Baptist Church.

Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her husband , Herman Morton, a grandson, Gary Morton, a daughter, Barbara Morton Sexton, a son, Leslie William Morton Sr., a great grandson; John Alexander Johnston, sisters; Flossie Burton, Robbie Joe Summerford and Alice Kitchens and her brothers; Marion Kitchens, William Kitchens and Edward Kitchens.

Survivors include her son Darrell Morton, her daughter Shelia Morton Collins, her grandson Leslie William Morton Jr.and a sister, Mable Geneva Windham along with 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for 7-9 Tuesday night at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel with Daryl Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
