Martha "Martie" H. Mills

Martha was born January 23, 1924 in Guthrie, West Virginia the daughter of John and Winnie (Jones) Baldwin.

She married Spurgeon Mills May 9, 1964 in San Diego, California. They lived in San Diego and Oxnard, California until he retired from the Navy and moved to Genoa, Arkansas in 1971.

She moved to Mason City, Iowa in July 2012 to be closer to her family. Martha enjoyed reading and visiting with people.

She is survived by her stepson, Donald (Carol) Mills, Mason City, Iowa; niece, Fae Kelly, Texarkana, Arkansas; nephew, Bryon (Judy) Bryant, Genoa, Arkansas; great nephews and niece, Mike (Jackie) Kelly, Terry (Robin) Kelly, Paula Johnston all of Texarkana, Arkansas and Mark Kelly, Geona, Arkansas; and a good friend Lorraine Lane, Texarkana, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Winnie Baldwin; her husband of over forty years Spurgeon and her brother Robert Baldwin.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at East Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Arkansas with Rev. Jim Rust officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
