Melba Bowerman

Mrs. Bowerman was the former owner of Nash Grocery and was a member of Oasis Life Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Rosa Lee Rochelle a brother John Rochelle and sister Johnnie Slaton, daughter, Kay Davis and great granddaughter Kayle Lee.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years James D. Bowerman; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Terri Bowerman and a daughter Jan Whitley.

Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren; Jack, Sam and Abby Bowerman, Kevin McCraw and Misti Adams.

She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Mason Nixon, Emily Lewis, Kaden Lee, Linny Lee, Tony McCraw and a great great grandchild; Carter Lewis.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane chapel with Rev. Tim Montgomery officiating.

Private family only burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
