With deep sorrow, I share the passing of my daughter, Mellisa Ann "Lisa" Mossier, on February 19, 2026. Lisa was born on December 3, 1968, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Ronald Wayne and Judy Mossier. She came into this world with three inches of red hair and was lovingly nicknamed "Lil Red" by her uncle--a name that stayed with her throughout her life.
Lisa graduated from Arkansas High School and went on to work in several roles over the years. Her first job was with McDonald's, followed by what she considered one of her most meaningful experiences--working in the emergency room alongside Stephanie McCorkle. She later spent several years at Valor Telephone and ultimately retired from Office Sweep, a chapter of her life she enjoyed and embraced.
Lisa's happy place included crossword puzzles, daytime shows, game shows, movies and dominoes. Enjoying her music through air buds, when I could always sneak up on her totally unaware, I was there! She delighted in all these things.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Wayne Mossier, her aunt, Debbie Nelson; and her uncle Garlon "Bubba" Nelson, who dearly loved his "Lil Red." Lisa is survived by her mother, Judy Nelson Mossier, as well as a host of cousins and close domino friends.
