Milton “Buddy” Howell, 75, of Texarkana, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, in Texarkana. Mr. Howell was born June 1, 1942. He was a retired carpet layer and owner of Howell’s New Boston Carpet Center, and is fondly remembered for his engaging stories and good sense of humor.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Frances McMaster, father Milton Lee Howell and sister, Frances “Sibby” Hale.
Surviving are siblings Betty Sherman of Pekin and Paul Howell of Texarkana, his daughter Kathy Sunshine of Fort Worth, his son James “Jim” Howell (and wife Crystal) of Indianapolis, his son John Howell (and wife Sarah) of Texarkana, and grandchildren Elizabeth, Jennifer, Olivia, Madison, and Hayden. The family will remember Buddy in a private ceremony.
