

Richard was a retired welder from Red River Army Depot. He was also a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving on mission trips. Richard was a pillar of the community and will be missed by many.
Richard was predeceased by his mother and father, Zell and Dorothy Ward, one son, Richard Allen Ward; and two brothers, Donald Ward and Wimp Ward.
He is survived by two sisters, Argie Winn of Nashville, Arkansas and Carolyn Morris of Delight, Arkansas, two brothers Ronnie Ward and wife Deb of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jerry Ward and wife, Wanda of Alpine, Arkansas, his daughter, Lisa Preston of Texarkana, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Eric Pickett and wife Tracy, Brian Pickett, Tiffany Voan and husband Chris, Justin McKeehan and wife Brittany, and five great grandchildren, Addyson Voan, Matthew Voan, Colton Jiggs Pickett, Murphy Grace McKeehan, Cody Voan, many other nieces, nephews, friends, relatives, and one special family Bridgett and J.D. Butler and children.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2020 at Pike City Cemetery, Pike City, AR with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Open visitation from 12 to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 4th and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 5th at East Funeral Home - Downtown.
