He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Salinas and Betty Carr.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Salinas, one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Lisa Salinas; four grandchildren, Dillon Johnston, Kaylee Salinas, Rebecca Salinas and Alisha West; one great- granddaughter, Medli Dunn; three brothers, Clyde Bitney, Victor Salinas, and Bryan Salinas; one sister, Donna Coy; a number of nieces and nephews; and two close friends, John Niles and Mike Rudder.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
