

Robert Manuel Stafford Jr, a cherished father, husband, son, brother, and friend to so many, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by family in Texarkana, Texas. He was 60 years old.
Born on August 4, 1965, in Texarkana, Arkansas, Robert lived a life filled with devotion to his family, and fire for what the next adventure might be. He was raised on various Air Force bases across the United States, where he developed an interest for anything military action related.
Robert was a devoted husband to his wife of 25 years, Jody Stafford, a loving father to his sons Zachary, Bradley, and Brandon all of Texarkana, Texas. Robert was survived by his father and mother, Robert Sr & Judy Stafford, and one brother, Todd Stafford all of Texarkana, Arkansas. He left behind many other loved family members and lifelong friends who will greatly miss him.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who shaped his early years with their love and wisdom. It brings us happiness knowing that he has joined all our family members in heaven, where they are together again.
Robert loved reading his military action books and always would have a book on him if not two. Robert was known for his crazy since of quick witty humor and had the ability to lighten anyone’s mood. He also was a lifelong NASCAR fan and always watched his Monday night wrestling.
Robert worked for various companies throughout the years but was most proud of his current career where he served as Correction Officer for Bowie County Correction Center. He really tried to make a positive impression on everyone that crossed his path at work. He believed that people make mistakes, but they deserve to be respected, at work he was known as Paw Paw, and respected by those under his watch.
Visitation services will be held at East Funeral Home- Moores Lane from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday August 15, 2025. The family invites friends in celebrating Robert’s remarkable life. Flower arrangements are warmly accepted for the visitation.
Robert’s spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy will endure in the stories and memories shared by all who were touched by his life.
