Susie L. McGee

Susie L. McGee was born in Colon, Panama on June 4, 1926 to Navy Officer Burton G. Lake and Virginia T. Lake. She married April 26, 1946 in San Diego, CA and moved to Texarkana, TX, March 17, 1947, where she made her permanent home.

She was a bookkeeper for Davis Enterprises until her retirement.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, William Harold McGee; one son and daughter-in-law, William Shaun McGee and Edith Walton McGee of Henderson, TX; one daughter, Katherine D. McGee; all her grandchildren and great grandchildren; her elder sister, Virginia L. Crow of El Centro, CA; and her adoring french bulldog, Buddy. Her younger sister, Katherine L. Garret preceded her in death.

Susie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved to cook, visit with, and help all of her family every way, every day.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
