Timmy Don Short, 62, formerly of Dallas, TX. passed away on February 16, 2021 at his son's home in Texarkana. AR. He was born on January 7,1959 in Littlefield, TX. He was a U.S. champion kickboxer with only one career loss. As well as, a stunt double and fight double for decades in the movie industry. Some of his films and shows included: Robocop, La Bamba, Mississippi Burning, Problem Child, Johnny Be Good, Forced to Kill, Payback, Wishbone, Where the Heart Is, and the one he was most proud and involved in was Walker Texas Ranger. After retiring from the movie industry he joined Southwest Airlines as a flight attendant for 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Perry and Rocky Short; his biological father H.J. Short.
Following Timmy's death his adopted son Patrick Short passed away on February 21, 2021.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wendell "Taylor" Short and his wife LaTesha Short of Texarkana, AR; mother and father Shelba and Noble Flenniken of Dallas, TX; one brother Kevin Flenniken of Carrollton, TX; two grandchildren Danielle and Tyler Short and a third grandchild, OcTavia to be born in May of 2021.
Memorial service will be held in the DFW area on March 6, 2021. The location and time will be announced in the near future.
