Barbara Robertson Coaton

Barbara Robertson Coaton went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, April 29, 2022. Born on January 31, 1931 to Agnes and Alex Wright in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She married Ernie Coaton in 1952.

They emigrated to the US in 1954 and lived in Brooklyn, New York until 1957 when they moved to Lorain, Ohio. In 2001 she moved to The Woodlands, Texas to be closer to her daughter and family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernie, and brother Allister Wright.

Survived by her daughter, Irene Carter and her husband Jeff, The Woodlands, grandsons Alec of Conroe, and Justin (wife Jessica), great granddaughters Ellie and Isla of Montgomery, a brother Alex (wife Marie) Wright in Northern Ireland,and nieces and nephews, Alison, David, Cheryl, and Gillian of Northern Ireland, and Alex of England.

She had a passion for baking and was especially known for her Scottish shortbread.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Services will be on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12:00pm at Forest Park, The Woodlands,18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384
