Barbara was an incredible woman who never met a stranger and was born with a servant's heart. She always said my God is first, my family is second and I am third. She lived that value until the day she died. Barbara lived for her three children and strived to make her home a house of love and fellowship for her children and all her children’s friends. She was known as “Momma Fin”.
She was an avid lover of baking, crafting and sports. She grew up loving the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, but when she moved to Texas she fell in love with all things Texas. She loved Aggie football, the Houston Texans and most notably the Houston Astros. You’d likely hear her yelling from the street if you drove by on game day.
In the last eight years, her three grandchildren became her greatest pride and joy. She traded in the name of “Momma Fin” for “Grammy” and loved reading books to her grandchildren. Her walls were decorated with their artwork and pictures.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristina (Matthew) Delhomme, her son, Bryne (Kristin) Finley; her three grandchildren, Micah Delhomme, Olivia Delhomme and Maxwell Finley; and her brother, Robert (Cindy) Brown.
She will be truly missed. We find peace knowing she is living in Heaven with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior and no longer in physical pain reunited with her son Shaun.
A graveside service for Barbara will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, followed by a reception from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
