She was born in Houston, Texas on May 17, 1933. Barbara graduated from Reagan High School and received her license in Vocational Nursing from San Jacinto Technical School in 1963.
She was married to Bernard E. Klekar on July 31, 1952.
Barbara had a career in nursing and food service for Houston Northwest Medical Center and Conroe I.S.D. She had a passion for her family, coloring and crafting.
She was survived by her son, Michael Klekar and daughter-in-law, Mary Kay; daughters, Karen Jallans, Theresa Klekar; grandchildren, Angela Montgomery and husband, Jerry, Zachary Jallans, Austin Jallans; great-grandchildren, Joshua Baxley, Mikalyn Baxley, Charles Jallans, Zachary Jallans, Jr., Stevie Jallans and her brother, Robert L. Cannon.
