

Billie Jo Bates Reinhardt, age 92, passed away at home, at The Village at Gleannloch Farms Assisted Living, on November 25, 2021. Born September 27, 1929, in Big Spring, Texas, to Audrey Hannaford Bates and Bill Bates, Billie Jo graduated from Big Spring High School in 1945.
She graduated from Hardin Simmons University, in Abilene, Texas, in 1949, with a B.A. in Chemistry and Mathematics. She was an elementary school teacher in Big Spring, Texas. On August 7, 1954, Billie Jo married Alvin Carl Reinhardt Jr. With Al’s job as a Texaco geophysicist, they lived in Oklahoma (where their only child was born), Kansas, and Texas. In the 1960s, Billie was a realtor in Wichita, Kansas. During the 1970s, she was an antique shop owner in Bellaire, Texas.
She was a Sunday school and Bible study teacher at Bellaire Presbyterian Church. She was an assistant Girl Scout Leader, a member of Houston Antique Dealers Association, and a member of Pilot Club International in Houston.
Billie is survived by her daughter Ann Reinhardt Cantu (husband Alfred Cantu), granddaughter Jessica Cantu Harris (husband Bradford Harris), grandson Carl Cantu, and great-grandchildren Aurora Harris and Patrick Harris.
A graveside service for Billie will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the graveside service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
