Carolyn was born in Illinois on August 10, 1941. While still in her infancy, her parents took her and moved back to Mississippi.
Carolyn attended and graduated from art school in Houston, Texas. She was talented and artistic, having several jobs in which she used these talents. Carolyn later owned her own art and decorating business. This business primarily focused on interior design, though other artistic services were also available.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, James Robert Armstrong and Velma O'Neal Armstrong, her husband John B. Atwood and her brother Charles Robert Armstrong and his wife Mary. Also preceding her was her daughter Debra Walker Adams. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Rebecca Walker, and her grandchildren, Jacob, Michelle, Matthew and Nichole. Multiple great-grandchildren also survived her.
A memorial service for Carolyn will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
