Cecil Edwin Rotto

Cecil was born June 28, 1923 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Julius and Ethel Leona (Taylor) Rotto. In his early years, he served in the Canadian Air Force. In 1960, he met and married Shirley Stenna Rotto in Edmonton, Canada. They were married for 41 years until Stenna’s passing in 2001. Cecil retired in 1986 as a Communications Analyst with Gulf Oil / Chevron after 31 years of service. He experienced work assignments in Venezuela, S.A. and Houston, TX. Cecil and Stenna worshipped at Sharpstown Church of Christ with their final congregational home being Woodland Oaks Church of Christ, The Woodlands, TX.

He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Candy & Jay Read of Magnolia, TX; son & daughter-in-law Bryan & Kimberly Rotto of Allen, TX; and son Brent Rotto of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home 18000 Interstate 45 North, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Interment will be held at a later date at Cook-Walden Cemetery, 14501 Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
