David was born in Charlotte, NC to Elizabeth and David L. McRorie, Sr. on November 25, 1954. He married Gail Genrich on April 9, 1983 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated with a business degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. He worked for Bose as the Executive Sales Director, before starting a fulfilling and wonderful thirty-nine (39) year career with Rainbow as a RGD Distributor in Fort Worth, TX and Kansas City, MO; and Rexair LLC where he extensively traveled the world to work with distributors on sales, marketing and RBO software until his death. David had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, always telling a joke or story, and laughing. He valued integrity, character and results. David professed his life to Christ in 2020 when he received his cancer diagnosis. He truly lived life to the fullest – creating lasting connections with friends, family and neighbors; collecting Early American art, antiques and watches; developing a residential ocean-front community in SC; golfing, hiking, boating, and loving eight Golden Retrievers. He was involved at The Woodlands Methodist Church – Habitat for Humanity and Hope Beyond Bridges for the homeless; as well as, President of several Homeowner’s Associations.
