Born to the union of Wade Anderson and Ruby Etta Mitchell on January 8, 1960, Debra Dawn Sawyer passed away from this life on September 4, 2025. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Edward Sawyer Sr. and together they brought into this world, Thomas Edward Sawyer Jr. and Jerrod Lee Sawyer. Together, they raised their sons first in Midland and then here, in Houston until life circumstances pulled them apart, after years of marriage.
Debra was an employee at Wood Forest National Bank until becoming ill earlier this year.
She took joy in being able to travel around the country and has her fondest memories of travel in Chicago.
Debra was proceeded in death by her parents, her son Tommy, and beloved dog, Mugan. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her son Jerrod, wife Tricia, five grandchildren, Kaileigha, Noah, Micah, Nehemiah and Cordeleigha. Her siblings, Allen, Mike (Gayle), Charity, and a host of nieces and nephews.
