Dennis Goldwood, 74, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His departure leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of kindness, gentleness, and unwavering respect for others will remain forever.
Born with a quiet strength and a generous spirit, Dennis devoted more than 40 years of his life to the oil and gas industry, culminating in his role as Director of Product Development at Drilling Specialties Company. His dedication, integrity, and steady leadership earned him the admiration of colleagues and the lasting respect of those he mentored throughout his career.
Dennis was a devoted family man whose love knew no bounds. He is survived by his wife, Dawn, who was his steadfast partner and closest companion; his loyal and loving son, Patrick; his beloved stepdaughter, Lindsay, and her husband, Dave; and his cherished grandson, Matthew, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his dear sister, Nancy, and her husband, Don, along with his beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Caroline, who passed in 2000—an immeasurable loss he carried with deep love and remembrance throughout his life.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Dennis will remember him for his warmth, his gentle humor, and his ability to make everyone feel valued. He approached the world with compassion and humility, leaving it better than he found it.
Dennis’ life will be honored in the hearts of his family and friends, who will continue to celebrate the quiet yet profound impact he made on all of them.

Visitation will be held on December 10, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, Grand Hall, located at 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
The funeral service will follow on December 10, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, also at the Grand Hall of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery.
A graveside service is scheduled for December 10, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the same location.
A catered reception will be held on December 10, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm in the R.L. Wood Room at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery.
