AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Diane Lee Sharman

12 mai 1948 – 21 novembre 2025
Avis de décès de Diane Lee Sharman
AUX SOINS DE

Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Diane lived a life defined by resilience, integrity, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She believed deeply that health—both physical and mental—is the foundation of a meaningful life, often saying that “if you do not have your health, you have nothing.” Her idea of perfect happiness was simple and profound: knowing that her immediate family was well, safe, and cared for.

Diane’s joys were rooted in good living—supporting and loving her family, pursuing education and meaningful work, and doing her part to contribute positively to the world around her without disrupting its harmony. She lived with intention and grace, and she grounded every choice in her belief that a purposeful life starts with doing what is right.

Diane was a proud graduate of Purdue University, where she earned her undergraduate degree, and later from the University of Chicago, where she completed her business degree. She enjoyed two fulfilling careers: first in finance, working for Xerox and GE, and later as a dedicated public school math teacher, a role in which she touched countless young lives with her sharp mind and steady kindness.

She often said that the greatest achievement of her life was her marriage. Over many years together, she and her husband grew individually and together—never in each other’s shadow, but always side by side.

Diane was inspired throughout her life by her faith in God, striving each day to live as a reflection of the values she held dear. Her simplest and most cherished pleasure was the first sip of her morning coffee and the quiet moments it gave her to connect with her family.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Josephine and Eric Van Patton. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard, and her daughters, Deedra and Daria, who will forever carry forward her strength, her wisdom, and her example.

In accordance with her wishes, Diane was cremated during the week of November 24. A small private service will be held at 2:00 PM on December 12 to honor her life and memory.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly
