Doris Adair Smith, 80, of The Woodlands, passed away August 25, 2010. She was born January 19, 1930 in Hamilton, MS to the late Trice Paul and Frances Magill Adair. She is preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Charles Stewart; sisters Mary Birckhead and Ruth Osborne and granddaughter Alissa Leanne Adams. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, J.M. Smith; children Deborah Stewart Adams, Bob and Myra Snider, Stan and Sherria Smith, David and Jana Clack, Lynn and Laurie Smith; sisters Beulah Mae Barnes and husband Roy and Ellen Davis; Brother John Paul Adair and wife Mary Lou; grandchildren Jose and April Silva, Kyle Adams and Emma Negron, Ashlie Adams, Gaylon and Amie Heatly, Lara and Pat Wadlington, Jamie and Kyle Roberts, Dana and Bryan McCaleb, Ami and Jaxon Brigman, Leah and Louis Mexia, Ryan, Reid and Jay Snider; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends that she considered family.
Doris was a joyful, loving and caring woman who will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of Doris’s life is set for 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
