

Edward Clarence Dearman, 87, of The Woodlands, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Edward was born on August 28, 1923 in Peoria, IL to Archie and Violet Dearman. He was a gentle and kind man, loved by all. He began his career with Armour & Company at 18 years of age and worked there until he retired at the age of 52. He married Virginia Mae Collins in Alexandria, LA on Marcy 17, 1944. Edward and Virginia resided in Peoria, IL until 1968, when they moved to Houston, TX. Virginia died on December 27, 1981. Edward married Florence M. Finch on December 28, 1998. Florence is a loving, devoted wife and they lived happily together in The Woodlands, TX. Edward served in the U.S. Army, Black Hawk Division during World War II from 1943 to 1946, achieving the rank of Sergeant. During Edward’s service he was awarded the following: The American Campaign Medal, Eastern-African Medal, Eastern Campaign Medal w/1 Bronze Battle Star, Asiatic/Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Sharp Shooter w/Rifle Medal and the Expert Infantry Badge.
Edward was also preceded in death by his daughters Terrie Eileen Bailey and Diana Lynn Hall. Edward leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Florence M. Dearman; youngest daughter and son-in-law Mary D. and Fredrick Hoisington; step-daughter and son Jamie and George Horn; step-son and daughter Ron and Pattie Finch; 7 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 great step-grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Edward “Ed, Eddie, Tubs” Dearman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, December 1st from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Funeral Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 2nd at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow at New Haven House of Prayer Church, The Woodlands, TX.
A private graveside service will be held in Peoria, IL at a later date.
