Affectionately known as “Elsie” by her family and friends, she graduated from John McDonogh Senior High School in New Orleans, and attended the School of Shorthand and Typewriting at Soulé College in 1958.
She married Dr. Raul Morales, Ph. D on August 22, 1959. She served as an administrative assistant for several medical doctors’ offices. For many years, she crafted clay kachinas and sold them at craft fairs in New Mexico. She was a member of the Tomball Area Quilters Guild and had a passion for family, quilting, knitting, crocheting, crafts, puzzle making, and watching Asian and Spanish telenovelas.
Elsie leaves behind and will forever cherish the memory of her four children and their extended families: Raul Morales and Melissa; Tony Morales and Monica; Denise Morales-Moubarake and Ahmad; Victor Morales and Juanita; grandchildren: Raul, Sierra, and Gabriella Morales; Andre and Natalia Morales, Sydney and Nick Ousbourne, Brynn and Jack Gentile; Yasmine and Jacob Gresham, Sage, Basil, and Zinnia Moubarake; Victor, Madeline and Andrew Morales; a sister Carmen and her husband Kevin Bell; a niece: Tonya Morrison and her children Doniven and Aradia; and numerous other extended family and dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the Grand Hall at Forest Park Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas, 77384. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. There will be a short procession to Forest Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the Chapel Mausoleum.
