David was raised in Kentwood, Louisiana and a graduate of Oak Forest Academy in Amite, Louisiana. He began his career as Network Technician with the State of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. He and his family moved to The Woodlands, Texas in 2000 where he has been Senior Network Engineer at Solid IT Networks for the last 14 years.
David enjoyed coaching his children’s sports teams and served on the Board of Directors at ORWALL. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and going to the beach with his children in Matagorda. David loved hosting family gatherings, and the Stafford household was filled with family most weekends, especially during LSU football season.
David is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jean Gill Stafford and children Dawson, Caleb, and Avery Stafford. His sister, Denise Stafford of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Kathy Stafford and children Ashlee Rae and Austin Stafford of Amite, Louisiana. Mother-in-law, Judy Hodges Gill of The Woodlands, Texas. Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Layton and Katie Gill and children Parker, Collin, and Carson Gill of The Woodlands, Texas.
David is preceded in death by his loving parents Ray and Georgia Faye Garner Stafford.

A committal service will occur Monday, March 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Park - The Woodlands Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
