

Florentino Armando Salazar, age 85, passed away on March 20, 2024. Florentino was born to Fidel and Virginia Salazar on October 27, 1938 in Allende, Nuevo Leon. He married Raquel Salazar in 1961 and they lived in Houston, Texas where they raised their three children, Janie, Jesse and Patty.
Florentino Armando is survived by his wife Raquel Salazar; daughter, Janie Salazar, and husband Rosario; daughter, Patty Salazar, and husband Carlos; and son, Jesse Salazar; grandchildren, Erika and husband Christian Rodriguez, Rosario III and wife Maribel Salazar, Gisselle and husband Rogelio Cortez and Stephanie and Deanna; great grandchildren, Nayeli, Gisselle, Sophia, Mariela, Rogelio Andres, Mateo, Lucchese, and Isabella. Florentino is also survived by his siblings, Carlos Salazar, and Hortensia Salazar, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He worked passionately as a cook at Monterrey House in Houston, Texas for 23 years. Florentino and Raquel later moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where they worked in estate management for 25 years. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He will be deeply missed and has touched many lives that have changed for the better because of his impact. May we each carry on his love, his joy, and his great humor. We will forever cherish his memory.
A visitation for Florentino will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 29, 2024 beginning at 2 p.m. also at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and will be immediately followed by a committal service.
