Later she and Ed moved to The Woodlands, to be close to her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gennie was loved by so many and she was blessed to have a special group of friends with whom she shared many, many happy times and travels with throughout the years.
She fought a long courageous battle with Lewy Body- a harsh form of Parkinson's disease. Through her battle, she always had a smile on her face and was happy to see everyone who came to visit. She was loved by the staff of the nursing home where she spent her last five years of her life.
