BAYTOWN, TX - Funeral services for George Allan Cowan, 80, of Baytown, will be held Sunday Sept 12th at 2 pm at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 18000 I-45 The Woodlands, TX . Burial will be at the cemetery at Forest Park.
Mr. Cowan died Sept 7, 2010, a day after his 80th birthday in Baytown.
He was born Sept 6, 1930 to the late Dr. Alfred O. and Connie M. Cowan of Mineola, TX. The Cowan family resided at 202 N Newsom which now serves as the Munzesheimer Manor Bed and Breakfast. He served in the US Army and US Air Force and was a nurse at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston. He retired with Lee College in Baytown earlier this year.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Connie Horton of Quitman, TX.
Survivors include his sisters Martha Joan Wisdom of Dickinson, TX, Nancy Johnston of Mineola, TX, and Patricia Massad of Tyler, TX; two sons: Glenn A. Cowan and his wife Zina of Kingwood, TX and their children Grant, Elizabeth and Geoffrey; and son John D. Cowan of Baytown, TX and his children: Jay and Kaitlyn; three step daughters he raised Perry, Carmen and Connie; and nieces and nephews.
