Georgeanna Louise Briscoe

Georgeanna Briscoe passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Houston Methodist Hospital, The Woodlands, Texas, at the age of 96. At her bedside were her daughter Barbara Kohnert and husband, Jim.

Georgeanna was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Briscoe, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Susan Schaeffer, and husband, Jim, of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Kohnert and husband, Jim, of Porter, TX, and Stuart Briscoe, III and wife Jan, of Shreveport, LA. Georgeanna has 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Georgeanna was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, keeping up with current events, and was a great housekeeper. She had a quick mind and was fiercely independent. Blessed with good health and a strong constitution, she was able to live alone in her home until the age of 96. Her faith was deeply rooted in the Catholic Church.

The family wishes to thank all the caring doctors and nurses that attended Georgeanna, especially Dr. Hussein Yamani, her cardiologist, and the entire Cath-Lab team at Houston Methodist Hospital, The Woodlands.

Funeral service for Georgeanna will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 2:00pm with a visitation starting at 1:00pm prior to service. Interment will follow the service at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Stuart Briscoe, III, Jan Briscoe, Stuart Briscoe, IV, James Briscoe, Jim Kohnert, and Jim Schaeffer.
