Dave Ramsey joined our team at Harris Health system over five years ago. Since that time, he became a close friend, confident and mentor to me. He was always smiling, even when upset about something. He had a way of turning an irritating situation into a humorous one. He was always full of news and stories about everything from his wife Sandra's delicious cooking to his son Nathaniel's latest achievements. He was one of the proudest husbands and fathers I've known. He always asked about my family and prayed for my son (who has mitochondrial disease). He wore his faith and his patriotism on his sleeve and he was never ashamed. Many times, I would stop by his desk to chat and would have to wait a minute as he prayed over his lunch. He made every day at work a little better. This world needs more men like Dave and his loss will be felt deeply for many days and weeks to come.

Sandra and Nathaniel: The two of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I pray for peace and strength during this unexpected and deep loss. My God bless you both. --Jonathan
