Janet Corinne Egizi

She was born on August 3, 1954, in Pampanga, Philippines, the daughter of Jack Moody Brightman and Charlotte Stewart-Brightman. Janet graduated from Comanche High School in 1972, in Comanche, TX where she was active in Cheerleading, Basketball and Track. During her time in high school she and her team of four awesome girls broke and set a new national record in the 880 yard relay. Following high school, Janet received her Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Art at Southwest Texas State University in 1976. From 1976 to 1978, Janet worked as a Commercial Artist for the Texas State Capitol. During her time there she did calligraphy on the 65th Texas Legislative Session Composite. Janet then began her career in the airlines as a Flight Attendant for Texas International/ Continental, from 1978-2000. During that time, she met her husband Daniel Joseph Egizi through a mutual friend. They were married in The Woodlands, TX on March 17, 1984. Janet, husband Daniel were happily married for 40 years. Daughter, Ashley Nicole Egizi was born on March 11, 1987.

Her personal hobbies included, gardening, traveling and sports. Above all, Janet was a loving mother, wife, and friend to all who were fortunate enough to call her such.

Janet is survived by her husband, Daniel Joseph Egizi; daughter, Ashley Nicole Egizi; brother, Dwight (Rusty) S. Brightman; sister-in-law, Bunny C. Brightman; and niece, Vanessa N. Brightman.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Moody Brightman; and mother, Charlotte Stewart-Brightman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Forest Park, The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S., The Woodlands, TX 77384, at 10 am on Wednesday August 3, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Janet’s name may be made to American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank her close personal friends and neighbors, the staff of the Compassus Hospice Care Huntsville for all of their wonderful care and support given to Janet.
