I can't even express how shocked and saddened Jim and I were to receive your letter.  Jeff was a good man, husband, father and friend and he will be missed by so many.  Our busy schedules chasing our young families and the vastness of Houston prevented us from spending time together.  Now that our nest is empty (yours may be as well) I was hopeful that there would be time to reconnect with old friends.  We have been in Den Haag since February and while we do not know how long we will be staying, you and the boys are always welcome.   Jim and I will be in Houston for most of the week of Dec 10 and I will likely spend some time shopping in The Woodlands.  Let me know if you have time or interest in lunch.  I would love to see you.   If you are not ready - I completely understand.

I am so saddened by the news of Jeff's passing.  He was one of my first friends when I was in grade school and closest friends in high school.  It was odd that we didn't keep in touch after graduation, but it didn't mean that I forgot about him.  Actually, I tried to find him many times over the years through various other contacts but came up dry until a few months ago when I met up with a high school friend of both of ours who gave me his old email address.  Many times I tried to sit down and write to him but, oh how do you sum up 30+ years?  He was on my mind and yet I couldn't somehow send the email.  Now I regret not pushing that send button.  I would have loved to known his life after high school, to get to learn about his wife and kids, and his career{s}.  (We actually both worked at the New Lenox Veterinary Clinic during high school as kids and I never knew he loved animals that much)  
Life goes so fast and now, unfortunately we are loosing time to be had with old friends.  You just never expect it to be someone your age as we all still feel like young kids inside.  I am truly sorry for your loss, and so very sorry that I did not reconnect with him in his time of need, if even just to make him smile to remember some of the 'good-old-days' from when we were young.   That will forever lay heavy on my conscious.

I worked with Jeff almost every day for a while when I was with Enterprise. He was smart, level headed and always a good guy to talk something through with. And just basically a very good guy. He will be missed

Jeff was a high quality person- smart and a really  nice guy. 
I trusted him, which is high praise from me because I  trust so few people. He will be missed. I’m so sorry he left this earth too soon.

My heartfelt sympathy goes to Jeff’s family during this time of loss.  I worked with Jeff and for Jeff for a number of years.  A very kind and intelligent man with a great sense of humor.  During business road trips together, he frequently told me stories about his family … of which was obviously the epicenter of his life.  He will be missed among all those who knew him.

So sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. I worked with him in several roles over the years and found him to be very intelligent and very honest.  What more can you ask for? God bless Jeff's family, my prayers are with them during this time of sorrow and pain.
