He was born in Piqua, Ohio on October 1, 1943. Jack graduated from Culver Military Academy and received a B.S., M.S., and PhD from Purdue University.
He was married to Sherry Lunsford on January 1, 2019.
Jack had a successful career in management consulting after receiving tenure at Stanford University. He loved music, art, sailing, and biking.
He was preceded in death by his father John R. Moore, Sr. and by his mother Mildred Williams Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lunsford Moore, his daughter Danielle Moore Drew, his son Austin Moore, and two step-daughters Jessica Olenick and Beth Berman. Also surviving him are eight grandchildren Samuel Black, Rebecca Black, Rachel Olenick, Abigail Olenick, Zoey Drew, Lillian Moore, Dean Moore, and Marcus Moore.
A visitation will be held on December 30, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery located at 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
A Celebration of Life will follow from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same location.
The graveside service will take place on December 30, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am, also at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery.
A catered reception will be held from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the R.L. Wood room at the same address.
