

She lost her father, Manuel San Roman, when she was 4 years old. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Joseph Quirasco.
Jo grew up and worked in Galveston, TX. She was a graduate of Dominican High School. She enjoyed working at Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Social Services where helping these children and their families was her passion.
She was married to her devoted husband, Charles (Chuck) Henry Wells on June 8, 1979 and remained his loving companion until his passing on June 21, 2014. They lived in California and Ohio before retiring in The Woodlands, TX.
She was an inspiration to many for her devotion to family, her generous nature, and fun-loving spirit. Jo never met a stranger and had many close friends from coast to coast. She loved to cook, craft, decorate and host themed parties where she was always the life of the party. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel W. San Roman and Trinidad San Roman-Quirasco, stepfather Joseph Quirasco, siblings Emilio San Roman, sisters Mary Galvan, Trinidad Lopez-Gilbert, Juanita Celina San Roman, Dolores Whitburn, her granddaughter Andrea Olsen and her beloved husband, Charles Wells. Jo is survived by her brother Manuel San Roman of Conroe, TX, daughter Andrea Horger and husband Mike, step-daughter Hilary Pluemer and husband Mike, grandchildren Erika East, Justin Horger, Joey Horger, Drew Pluemer, and Allison Pluemer. She was blessed by the love of her many nieces and nephews.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston; and of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Parish in The Woodlands. She enjoyed volunteering for craft fairs and cooking for bake sales.
