Judith Mae Browne, lovingly known as Gram, passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 84 in Spring, Texas. She was born on May 14, 1939, in Marietta, Ohio, to Harold and Frances Hanna. Gram had a beautiful "Hanna girl smile" and a wonderful laugh that brought joy to everyone around her.
Gram was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored her children: Delaine (Sam) Donaldson of Fort Worth TX; Duane and Sharon Hart (The Woodlands TX); Susie Hart (Spring TX); and Robin and Dan Krasher (Jarrell TX). Gram was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and had a deep love for her little dog, Joey Dangerous, who adored her just as much. She is also survived by her beautiful sister, Karen Gerleman (Tucson AZ) and many wonderful nieces and nephews who all loved their “Aunt Judy.” She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Frances Hanna, brother Kenneth Dale Hanna and sister, Marilyn Sue Kinsey.
In her younger years, as the wife of a CEO, Gram was an incredible hostess entertaining a wide circle of friends and business acquaintances. She also enjoyed attending galas and events abroad traveling to many countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Austria, Iceland, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Central America, Italy, Czechoslovakia, and more. Her favorite destinations, however, were the beaches of Barbados, St. Martin, the Dominican Republic and Fiji. Her love for the beach never ended and many summers were spent with her family and friends in South Padre Island TX making wonderful memories.
Gram accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1985 and her favorite promise is found in Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave you or forsake you." She was a long-time member of Woodsedge Community Church in Spring, Texas and found solace and community in her faith. Gram was an incredible friend and neighbor, always treating others with kindness and compassion.
A family memorial gathering is planned to honor Gram's life. Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery in Conroe, Texas, is assisting with the funeral arrangements.
