

Kelly Riedel was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Kelly will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Richard and Pat Riedel. Kelly grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah.
Kelly had one older sister, Kim. Kelly was usually involved in all sorts of activities. He and his sister experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Kelly had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Kelly was an active child who took part in golf and soccer. However, to Kelly, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends.
A typical teenager, Kelly had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Skyline High School in 1992.
Kelly enjoyed college and earned his Bachelor of Science in business management, with honors from the University of Phoenix.
Always considered a “good” friend to those he knew, Kelly enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. While growing up, some of his best friends were Bri Stringham and Ryan Thierbach. Later in life, he became friends with too many to name.
On September 5, 1997 Kelly and Stephanie Green were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 3, 2005 of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Kelly was a great father and enjoyed his children greatly. Kelly was blessed with three children, two daughters, Hailey and Madison and one son Nathan.
Fortunately, Kelly enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Kelly worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was in health care administration. He was employed for Siemens, Sigma Consulting, and University General Health Systems. Kelly always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Kelly enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were cars, golf, family, made up games. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Kelly found pleasure in sports. In high school, Kelly played golf. Kelly was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were golf, football, and basketball.
Kelly’s faith was important to him. He was a member of The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints. During that time, he was enjoyed teaching primary and young men's group.
Though he never set out to gain individual recognition, Kelly was given accolades for his many and varied accomplishments throughout his life. Some of his most prestigious awards included Dad of the year 13 years running!
Kelly enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included anything he did not have to plan!
Kelly was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. Some of his favorite cats were Libby, Beaskie, Gracie, Emma, and Ally.
Kelly passed away on October 2, 2013 at The Woodlands, TX. He died of heart failure. He is survived by his wife Stephanie; his children Hailey, Madison and Nathan; His parents Richard and Pat Riedel and sister Kim Parsons. Services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 10303 Branch Crossing Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. Kelly was laid to rest in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery, The Woodlands, Texas.
Simply stated, Kelly was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Kelly leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Kelly Riedel.

Kelly Riedel, 39, beloved father, son, brother and friend returned to our Heavenly Father on October 2, 2013 due to heart failure. Kelly loved life. He enjoyed driving fast cars, golfing, and loved music of all kinds. Kelly took pleasure in all forms of nature, especially thunderstorms and weather. He enjoyed working with his colleagues throughout his successful professional career in Healthcare, during which he formed lasting friendships. Kelly loved life with his sarcastic humor and loving compassion. He loved and was loved by everyone he met. Kelly just celebrated his 16th year anniversary with his sweetheart, Stephanie. He has three children he loves dearly, Hailey (13), Madison (10), and Nathan (7). He will be missed greatly. He will be remembered lovingly by his wife and children, his parents (Richard and Pat Riedel) and sister (Kim Parsons); and many loving family members. Funeral services for Kelly will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 10303 Branch Crossing Drive, The Woodlands, TX. Friends may call Tuesday night at the Forest Park Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral services.
