

Kenneth Charles Baker, Jr., 61, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2010 at St. Luke’s Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. He was born on March 31, 1948 in Orange, Texas, the son of late Kenneth and Marie Baker. On December 18, 2004 he married Sue Shelley, who survives him.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970, and was honorably discharged on February 15, 1973. During his tour in Vietnam, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and Expert Rifle.
After his discharge, he began his career as a HVAC Technician under Buddy Kieke with Kieke Electric in Jones Creek, Texas. He was currently employed with A & W Mechanical.
He is preceded in death by his nephew Chet Wynn. Mr. Baker is survived by his brother Delmar Baker (son-Josh), and sister Charlotte Lawton (children-Freddy, Lisa, Hammond). Children include: Kelly Paull and husband Richard, Kerry Baker, Kenneth Baker and wife Brandy, Keith Baker and wife Erin, Rantz Pierce, Justin Tyree, and David Tyree. Grandchildren include: Evan Paull, Sarah Williams, Lyndsi Philen, Kody Philen, K.C. Baker-Haley, Kevin Baker, Kyler Baker, Kaitlyn Baker, Kamden Baker, and Jackson Tyree. Sister Gwynith Hill and her children Garth Gadberry, Terri Wynn and Coby Wynn.
The memorial service will be held Friday, February, 19, 2010, 2:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home Chapel.
