LOUIS RUSSELL THOMPSON, 89, of the Woodlands, Texas passed away on the 18th of May 2012. He was born on the 15th of November 1922 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Francis Thompson, Sr. and Marie Louise Mouton.
He attended Southwestern Louisiana University and worked for many years in the Purchasing Department of Browning-Ferris Machinery Company. After retirement from Kellogg Brown & Root, he loved to travel, see new places and was an avid gardener.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, brother Francis Thompson, Jr., and his wife Enid Daigle Thompson, sister Belle Thompson McClosky and her husband Jack McClosky; sister Juanita Thompson Watts and her husband Raymond Watts; brother Thomas Thompson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louis is survived by his wife, Margaret W. Thompson; daughter, Cindy Thompson Harrington and son-in-law, Rick Harrington; son, Robert L. Thompson and his wife Chris Thompson and grandson, Kyle R. Thompson.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in the Woodlands.
Viewing and visiting with friends and family will be in the Chapel of Forest Park the Woodlands Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 9:00 am to time of service at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow.
