

Maria was born on October 16, 1958, in Reynosa, Mexico. She lived a full and dedicated life, embracing many roles with strength and love. In her early years, she worked as a manager at an electronics store. She later became a devoted stay-at-home mother while she and her husband built their photo and video business together. In the final two years of her life, she found great joy working as a substitute teacher, a role she truly cherished.
Maria was married to her beloved husband, Guadalupe Olivarez, for 43 wonderful years. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and resilience. She was a proud and loving mother to her three children: Christi, Rachel, and Glen, and a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren, Benjamin, Grayson, Nico, Rebecca and Rye, who were the light of her life.
She had a deep love for gardening and music, often filling her home with the voices of artists like Selena, Alejandro Fernández, and Luis Miguel. Maria was known for her passion, strength, and vibrant personality—qualities she proudly passed down to her children and grandchildren. She lived wholeheartedly for her family and leaves behind a legacy of love, determination, and warmth.
She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Olivarez; her children, Christi, Rachel, and Glen; and her five cherished grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
Maria will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
