Marian was born May 18, 1932 in Jeanerette, Louisiana to Gaston and Aglia Broussard.
After she graduated from Jeannette High School Marian went to work at First National Bank before marrying the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Malvern Miles Hasha in 1932.
Malvern was a successful and innovative businessman and Marian faithfully served by his side in all his business endeavors from running an Esso station in Lake Charles, LA to supporting him for more than three decades at Gator Hawk, Inc., an oilfield service company he founded in 1967.
Marian lived most of her married life in Houston, TX where she was an active and long-time member of Champions Forest Baptist Church. Along with Malvern, she joyfully served in many ministries, focusing on inner city children and children who sadly had a parent in prison. She was intimately involved in Prison Fellowship, sharing her love of the Lord and strong Christian faith with all who crossed her path. Marian was a "beacon of light," exclaims her family.
She enjoyed many hobbies, including cooking, traveling, reading, decorating and hosting friends and family. Marian was often found with a Bible in hand and a beloved pup (Angel and Lil Bit) on her lap—they were her faithful companions and a constant source of joy and delight. However, Marian was most proud of and passionate about the steep legacy she leaves in her four beloved children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marian is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Malvern; her parents; her brother, Simeon Broussard; sister, Corrine Landry; and her son-in-law, James Tripson. She is survived by daughter Susan Tripson; sons Bruce Hasha and wife Charlene, Brian Hasha, and David Hasha and wife Lauren; grandchildren Renee' Pennington, Tiffany and Nicholas Tripson, Holly Lambert and Corey, Jordan, Michael, Eric and Adam Hasha; great-grandchildren Avery and Annika Pennington, Brooklyn and Carson Lambert, Elena and Violet Ruiz Tripson and most recent addition James Tripson.
A "Celebration of Life" was held for Marian on January 11, 2025 at Forest Park Funeral Home in The Woodlands with a reception and private burial following the service.
If inclined, the family would be honored to receive donations in her name to Champion Forest Baptist Church or to Samaritan’s Purse for the North Carolina relief effort.
