Eternal life was given to Rose Marie Carl, at her home on July 17, 2017. She left our mortal world in peace and will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Her family knew her as, “Marmie,” Mom, or Dear and her spirit will live in their hearts until they meet again.
Her friends will remember Mary as an outgoing soul who wanted to put a smile on our faces with a funny story, cup of coffee, and a cookie, or tell you a funny story about a cup of coffee and a cookie.
Marmie, left behind many lessons that will be passed down through her family and friends. Her advice on life, and how to navigate the twists and turns, have become part of their very existence.
If, “cleanliness is next to Godliness,” then Mary is finally in her rightful place. She was meticulous and thorough when it came to the chain of custody of any foreign substance that crossed her path as she was sure not to contaminate her world.
If the, “Ever-After,” is now in need of a once over, Mary will be sure to “Report” it to the proper authorities and will keep her flip flops on for now.
Mary, loved her family more than anything and they adored and loved her to no end. They kept her busy with football, softball, basketball games, choir practices, and making sure everyone was safe, loved, and fed always; including her 4-leg furry family members.
Rose Marie Candido was born on March 17, 1940 at Highland Park General Hospital in Highland Park, Michigan to Ernesto and Caterina Candido. Being nine years older, her sister Lily was a second mother to Mary and they did everything together as children. After graduating from Detroit High School of Commerce in Detroit in 1958, she worked at a brokerage firm and soon met the love of her life, Robert Carl. They married on January 15, 1967 and soon had two daughters, Leslie and Julie. When Julie was about nine years old she asked Santa for a baby brother and wouldn’t you know it their son Bobby was born the next May when they moved to Texas! Mary worked for Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD and then at General Dynamics while living in Ft. Worth. After moving to The Woodlands, she found her true calling in working with the community and specifically senior citizens as part of National Night Out and as a Village Liaison at The Woodlands Community Association. Even after retiring from the Township, everyone remembers Mary Carl and she kept in contact with so many on Facebook, lunch dates and coffee at her house.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Gerald Carl, children Robert Gage Carl, Julie Peterson, her husband Wayne and her daughter Madelynn Williams, Leslie Carl McPherson, her husband Brian and their children Connor and Grant.
