

Maryanne Kratzer Broussard, 65, of Montgomery, TX. was called home to our Lord on the eve of our Savior’s birth, December 24, 2023. She was born in Jennings, LA on August 25,1958 to Harry and Lillian (Deshotel) Kratzer.
Maryanne was a faith-filled and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was kind and gentle with a beautiful smile, and loved by everyone who knew her.
As a founding parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, she was active in many ministries, including the Catholic Daughters of America, Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, the ACTS Community, Divine Mercy Cenacle, Altar Linen Ministry, and Collection Counting. She had a special devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ and initiated an apostolate at the parish which adored the Blessed Sacrament during the Gethsemane Hour.
Scott and Maryanne also participated in the fostering program through Associated Catholic Charities for several years.
Maryanne was instrumental in Scott’s formation and preparation for the Permanent Diaconate in the Catholic Church.
Maryanne was preceded in death by her father Harry and brother Stephen. She is survived by her mother Lillian Kratzer, brothers David (Saundra) Kratzer and Donald (Paulette) Kratzer. Also, Deacon Scott Broussard, her loving husband of 46 years, daughter Erin (Jeremy) Franklin of Montgomery, TX, son Jordan (Ryan) Broussard of Walpole, MA, daughters Melanie (Mark) McKinney, Jennifer (Jeremy) Zadow, and Lana Broussard, all of Montgomery. Also, grandchildren Cydney, Tyler, Lucy, Eleanor, Luke, Henry, Miles, Boone, Ryder, Landon, and Cameron.
A Funeral Vigil will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, December 29th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, TX. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, December 30th, also at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
