Rose was born to Wanda and Arthur Hollingshead on April 20, 1934 in Girard, Texas. She had two siblings, Charlotte Hodges and T.H. Hollingshead.
On New Years Eve 1954, Rose married the love of her life, Lynn Clepper. Together they raised five children; Terrie Kunec, Harold Clepper, Robert Clepper, Trish Lawrence, and Hank Clepper. They were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was a wonderful Mother, Granny, Great Granny and friend. Always praying for everyone, sending cards and giving words of encouragement.
Rose loved the Lord and loved studying His Word, the Bible. She taught Sunday School most of her adult life and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was the church secretary at Clay Road Baptist Church in Houston for many years. When she and Lynn moved to Elkins Lake, she served as the secretary at Elkins Lake Baptist Church until she retired.
She loved nature and had the most amazing green thumb. She had a very productive garden in a tiny little space on her deck overhanging Elkins Lake. To this day we thank the Lord for protecting her from stepping off into the lake, as she could not swim! She also loved sports and played basketball, tennis, ping pong (she was very good), and golf. In her later years she enjoyed watching sports with her wonderful gentleman friend, Sonny Schmidt.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Lynn, her parents Wanda and Arthur, and her sister and brother Charlotte and T.H.
