Robert Kent Bo¬wen, born Decem¬ber 21, 1949 to Robert O. Bowen and Lucille Livings¬ton, passed away March 31, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Kent was raised in Span¬ish Fork, Utah, received a B.S. in political science from Utah State University and an M.S. in Health and Safety from Central Mis-souri State. He served in the Air Force from 1973 to 1976. He was employed by Amoco and then British Petroleum for 28 years in various Health Safety and Environmental assignments including expat positions in Baku Azerbaijan, Moscow Russia.
In 1972 he married Peg¬gy Jo White in Salt Lake City. Kent leaves his wife Peggy and three children, daugh¬ter Nikki de Boer and hus¬band Oliver, son Matthew Kent and wife Amanda Den¬ton and son Bradley Virgil and wife Regina Seger and eight grandchildren, Dax, Connor, Sydney, Ashtyn, Branson, Jack, Tyler and Luke. His sense of humor, love of adventure and travel will remain with those who knew him.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents. Kent is survived by his sister Marsha Morgan of Salt Lake City and Blake Bowen of Spanish Fork, Utah.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park The Wood¬lands on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow services in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
