Bob was born on September 2, 1944, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Mary Beebe Papanos and Stanley Papanos. He answered the call of duty during the Vietnam War, serving honorably in the United States Air Force for four years.
After his service in the Vietnam War, Bob pursued his education and graduated from Wesleyan University. He went on to achieve success in agricultural commodities trading, making lasting contributions and earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Victoria Liang Papanos. He is survived by his two children, Ann Gallo and Andrew Papanos and their spouses, and four grandchildren.
A memorial service for Robert will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, followed by a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
