Robert Upton

Bob was born March 22, 1941, in Hollywood, California to Virgil and Gwendolyn Upton. The middle of three boys, Bob was a traditional peacemaker.

Bob grew up in Southern California and graduated from San Fernando High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California Polytechnic Institute in San Luis Obispo, California. After graduation, he proudly served as an officer in the United States Air Force.

Bob began his career with Owens Corning in field service and quality control in 1970. While working in Aiken, South Carolina, Bob met the love of his life, Becky, and they were married for 51 years. Bob and Becky started their adventure together in Toledo, Ohio where their son Travis was born. Another move brought them to The Woodlands, Texas in 1994 with Containment Solutions. Throughout his career, Bob combined a wealth of technical knowledge with an unwavering love for individuals which cemented an incredible legacy. In 2012, Bob and Becky retired together and were inseparable, giving and spreading joy together anytime they were walking through the mall or out in the community.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Virgil, mother, Gwen, and brother, James (Carol) Upton. He is survived by his wife Becky Upton, his son Travis (Shannon) Upton, and three grandchildren, Spencer, Karly, and Oliver Upton. Bob is also survived by his brother Herb (Fran) Upton.
