Ronald Wayne Bridges

Ronald Wayne Bridges, 70, of Conroe, TX passed away February 29th, 2016. He was born at home in Grapeland, TX on January 10th, 1946 to Preston Sam Bridges and Irma Clair Funderburk. Ron graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, TX in 1965 and attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX. He married Judy Bridges on September 26th, 1987. Ron had a career in insurance and traveled the country working as an independent adjuster. Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and anything that kept him busy outdoors. He also enjoyed vacationing with his wife, sideline coaching The Texans and spending time with his grandchildren. On any given day you could find him watching Fox News and analyzing the latest political happenings. He was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and many close friendships he developed throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Judy; his daughter Lori Bridges Munoz; son Jeff Bridges; his stepdaughters Lori Bramlett and husband Chuck, Lisa Freeman and husband James; grandchildren Aaron Munoz, Taditha Vasek and husband Justin, Preston Bridges, Brandon Bridges, Bronson Bramlett, Clayton Bramlett, Tatum Bramlett, Trinity Freeman and Andrew Freeman; one great grandchild Isaiah Munoz; his sister Marjorie Rutta and husband Sidney Rutta, and his sister-in-law Margie Bridges.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Kenneth and Merle; two great grandchildren and two nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, March 5th, 2016 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

We would like to thank everyone for all the love and kindness shared with Ron and his family during his illness. Your support was invaluable to his fight and brought light to his final days.
